yet another reason to love audrey hepburn:

March 16, 2012

oh, audrey…you continue to amaze the human population. i saw this above picture a while ago on pinterest and was like “oh hey that’s a cool photograph of some photo shoot with someone with a little deer”, not recognizing that it was audrey hepburn in the photograph and also not realizing that this was a candid photograph….WHAT!? yes. lovely audrey had a pet fawn. oh man, this makes me feel like i can accomplish my dreams but it also depresses me at the same time. not sure why.

after i realized it was audrey in the photo, i decided to research the situation to see what the real deal-e-o was. i found out that audrey was filming her movie “green mansions” (which by the way, i had never heard of, so now i will DEFINITELY have to see that one!) where her character had a baby deer side-kick. the animal trainer decided audrey should take the fawn home for a while before and during the time of shooting so it would learn to follow her. while it was home with her, her friend who was the photographer of many of her films took all of these candid photographs. he was quoted saying how amazing and beautiful it was to see the little fawn living so comfortably with audrey. they would snuggle together and take naps. he said he couldn’t get over how peaceful the fawn was when it would lay down with audrey and her pet dog on the other side of the couch. it would follow her while she was around the house and even followed her going grocery shopping! how amazing is that?!?!

all of these are so beautiful, what an experience!! i want a little fawn to be with me and love me and be my friend.
