draping I :: bias dress

February 14, 2012

this week in draping class, we had this seersucker dress due. this is the finished product from what i was working on in the studio a couple weeks ago. we didn’t choose the fabric, but i don’t think its too terrible. i think its possible that i might make it re-make it in some different material…possibly. but overall, i am really happy with how it came out! and my teacher picked my dress out of the whole class to put on display in the school with the sample pieces and other pieces that lead up to the final creation so that people could see each step in the process, but i was stupid and threw away some of those old pieces because she never told us to keep them. but oh well, now i know for next time! but i am SO happy because this mannequin is my size so i don’t only get to wear this dress, but everything i will make for projects in the future will be able to go into my wardrobe!

….i just remembered its valentine’s day…! well then, happy valentine’s day!!!! HAHA.

    So pretty 🙂

    I’m always so inspired by people that can make things like this, I’d never be able to create something so beautiful! Congrats on your teacher picking it from the class too, that must feel pretty good!
