8 favorite ways to wear a blouse!
blouses are honestly one of my favorite articles of clothing. they are comfortable and can easily be dressed up or down. my AMAZING little vintage friend, anna, sent me this shirt, actually. i just purchased a purse from her and i found this blouse inside when i got my package! she is too kind to me, she’s always giving me free little things. but anyway, i LOVE this blouse! one of my favorite patterns are polka dots and of polka dots i specifically love RED polka dots. anna gets me. haha. and check out the purse i got too!
i was a bit worried i wasn’t gonna be able to fit my cameras or other necessary things in here but they ended up fitting perfectly! when i first saw this purse i was obsessed with the sort of western detail. and when i got it it smelled so freshly vintage! ( and now that i think of it, i don’t think the words “fresh” and “vintage” probably work together at all, but it just seems right for this number for some reason!) i guess most vintage things i get have gone through so many other places that it looses a certain smell, but i can’t help but think of my grandparents old house when i get a whiff of this purse.
ok. so gettin’ real for a second…much of my wardrobe is vintage and of all of that, MOST of it is purchased from anna. honestly, my favorite things i have ever owned are from her. this chick finds GOOD STUFF! haha. its most fun to shop from her in the summer when she’s selling at the west side market every saturday because she always has so much stuff and plus its fun to spend a saturday getting a west side market brat then shopping from all the vender’s and listening to live music. but anna also has a great etsy shop! she is someone i seriously want to support and LOVE supporting too! she has a butt load of stuff but only has a select amount online, so click HERE to see what’s in store at the moment! and may vintage forever be awesome!!! (that is my vow. ha.)
p.s. i just found an old receipt in this purse. it was hard to read at first but after a closer look i saw it was from Higbees!!!!!!!! and the date is posted December 13 1966! i feel like such a Cleveland nerd but i can’t get over this! i feel like i just found a piece of treasure! in case you don’t know, or if you ain’t from the CLE, Higbee is an old department store that lived in downtown Cleveland. the christmas story was filmed there but its not open anymore. so i got so excited when i found this! i taped it to my wall. this is when you know you’ve got a real piece of Cleveland vintage!
